I ask for at least two weeks notice for celebration cakes and two months notice for wedding cakes. Some smaller orders such as cupcakes and treat boxes may be fulfilled at shorter notice depending on my diary.
I advise to always book in as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Either full payment or a deposit will be required to secure your order.
For orders under £50, full payment is required at point of booking to secure the order.
For orders £50 and over, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at point of booking to secure the order.
The remaining 50% must be paid by one week prior to the delivery/collection date.
For wedding cakes the remaining 50% deposit must be paid by one month prior to the delivery date.
If you have paid in full and cancel your order by two weeks before the due date then I will issue you with either a full or part refund depending on whether I have already purchased items for your cake.
Cancellations made within the two weeks leading up to the due date cannot be refunded. All deposits are non-refundable.
I have the right to withdraw any orders due to contributing factors (non-payment, non-cooperation, change to order etc)
Cancellation by me for reasons beyond my control and not in reference to the customer will result in the order either being transferred to an alternative date or a full refund.
Changes to your order/design
Celebration cakes/cupcakes/treat boxes
If any changes are made to the original quoted design then this must be agreed at least 14 days before the order is due, subject to a price change for any extra work and/or supplies required.
If any changes are made to the original quoted design then this must be agreed at least 8 weeks before the order is due, subject to a price change for any extra work and/or supplies required.
Any photos that are sent to me are used as inspiration only and I cannot and do not guarantee exact replicas of any cakes, whether it be someone else’s design or my own.
Delivery and collection
I offer delivery from £2.50 within BN1, BN2, and BN3. Outside of these areas, but within Sussex, delivery will be charged based on the distance. Orders can be collected from me in Brighton.
If your order is not collected within the arranged collection slot and I am unable to contact you then the full payment made will be retained and the order will be discarded.
Please see the Cake Care page for advice on collecting and transporting your cake.
I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the cake once it has left my property or possession.
I reserve the right to photograph your order before collection/delivery for my own reference, advertising, and internet promotion.
Complaints are very rare so when they do happen I take them seriously.
You must notify me of the problem as soon as it becomes known. Where possible I will view the cake in person to assess the problem, either by you returning the cake to me or me visiting the venue/home. Photos of problems may not be accepted.
If the complaint is made after the cake has been eaten I may not be able to confirm your complaint therefore please contact me as soon as possible. If the complaint is upheld then either a part or full refund will be issued depending on the details of the problem.
Allergens in ingredients will he indicated on an information sticker on/inside your cake box.
Please always tell me if there is someone with a food allergy who will be consuming the cake.
